Customer Journey Mapping for Small Brands: The 5 Moments That Decide
Published: 2026-10-23 • Author: Ivan Turatti
A customer journey map is useful only if each step answers one question: what is this person asking themselves right now?
The 5 Moments
- They notice something is wrong. Question: Why is this so hard? (Needs recognition, not pitch).
- They look for a method. Question: Is this real or a wrapper? (Needs visible mechanism).
- They decide. Question: Will I actually use this? (Needs upfront price, scope, clarity).
- They begin. Question: Did I choose right? (Needs an immediate tangible result).
- They talk about it. Question: Is this worth putting my name on? (Needs portable proof).
Moments 1 and 5 are almost universally left empty by small brands. Closing them is how growth compounds.
